CALANTHÉ SIZE GUIDE

All of us who have ever tried to recreate a Pinterest look know how difficult it is to get it right. There is just so many factors that weigh in! And the golden key to get it right - it's the fit!

Out of our own experience, we often choose sizes based on "what we should be" or "what we always have" - with often being reluctant to size up more than what we can identify us with. And that's understandable! Much of the industry today just produce more and more with no focus on the sizing being good, and that just leaves us feeling worse when the clothes with the "right" size label do not fit us.

At CALANTHÉ our goal is for you to feel good as well as look good in our clothes. Therefore all of our fits are Regular or Loose, and our standard sizes include a bit extra room around the hips and butt compared to the industry standard. Our experience tells us that unless you have those supermodel genes, us ordinary mortals tend to have a bit more juice in this area. Check out the guide below to find out how you find your own perfect fit!

1: Find your size in our size range

First of all you need to know where you land on our sizing range. Remember, all of the sizes are just as good as the others, and the important thing here is to find products that fit you - not the other way around.

On the image to the right, you'll find find a mannequin where three points of measure has been marked out.

The first is the bust measure.

The second is the waist measure.

And the third is the lower hip/bottom measure.

Those three will help you navigate to the best size for you. So grab a measuring tape and get started!

TIP #1: Please make sure that you place the measuring tape on the largest part of your bust and hips.

TIP #2:The measuring tape should lay flat on your skin, but not be too loose. So as close as a second skin as possible!

When you have your 3 numbers, take a look at our size table on the image above. Please note that you do not need a perfect match of any - just choose the one that is closest to the measures you have. When this is done - voilà, you have found your size!

If you would be unsure of where you land - just email us at support@calanthestudio.com with your measurements and we will advice you for the best size for you!

2. Find the right fit

On to the next step - product measurements!

You can find all product specific measurement on each product site. You will find that the measurement on a product in a specific size will be different from the measurement in the size table above. This is because none of our products are designed to have a Slim or Skinny fit - instead the product has a bit extra measure to provide that good comfort.

To see how each product fit, review the model image on each product site. The fit displayed on the model should reflect the one you get when choosing your own size.

Of course, it is completely up to you to play around with the sizes to get the fit you want. If you like a looser fit than what is displayed on the model - well then you can size up. If you prefer a slimmer fit over a loose or regular fit, you can always size down.

TIP #1: If you normally are in between sizes, we would advice you to go for the smaller option. This because we have added some extra measure around the hips and butt in our products, to make sure of a good fit also for those of you in between sizes.

TIP #2: Check the product measurement on the sleeves and legs to double check if they match what you need. If not - then you can request your preferred lengths! See below for how to find your preferred measurements.

3. Add individual adjustments

To the best part!

I think all of us have a family member or a friend that always have had difficulty finding the right length in pants or shirts, either for being too tall or shorter than average. Well we'd like to say goodbye to that issue!

When you place an order at CALANTHÉ, you can add your own individual leg length, or/and sleeve length. And in all products that has an elastic waistband, you are more than welcome to add your preferred waist measurement.

First of all, look up if this adjustment is something you need. On each product site you can find a size chart displaying the product measurement for each size. If the standard measure looks good to you - why change a winning concept?

However, if the standard measure seem too long or too short for you, follow the steps below to get the perfect fit for you.

PANTS:

1: Find a pair of pants you own that has the perfect length for you.

2: Fold them with the front side out and lay flat, as the image on the right.

3: Take a measuring tape (or similar), and take the inseam measure. This is marked out on the image to the right.

4: Voilà! This is your golden measurement for your favorite leg length. Add this to the order and we'll get right on it!

SHIRT:

1. Find a longsleeve that has just the sleeve length you like.

2: Lay down the shirt with the arm laying flat, like the image on the right.

3: Take a measuring tape (or similar) and measure from the highest point of the shoulder down to the end of the sleeve. See reference picture below.

4: Voilà! This is your golden measurement for your favorite sleeve length. Add this to the order and we'll get right on it!

WAISTBAND:

There's two ways to go about finding the perfect waistband length for you.

1: Take out your favorite pair of elastic waistband pants. Lay down the pants flat, and measure the width of the waist - both when stretching out the elastic waistband and when leaving it laying flat. See the image on the right for reference. Then you can add both of these measurements to your order.

2: Take a measuring tape and measure your waist. Please note that the waistband is elastic, so you can put the measuring tape as tight as you wish the pants to fit. Then you take your desired measurement and add it to your order.

There you go!
